The Location: Dream Bay Resort

Nestled along US 1, Dream Bay Resort is a hidden gem that might surprise you. Despite its modest roadside appearance, stepping through the gate reveals lush greenery and stunning views of Florida Bay.

Location can be everything…

Located in Key Largo, closer to Miami than Key West, is Dream Bay Resort. It’s really a large waterfront property with private bungalows tucked away on the property. It’s ideal for couples and family’s looking for a more low key, Florida Keys, getaway.

Emily & Tim loved visiting the Florida Keys, fishing, and spending time out on the water. So, when it came time for them to decide where they wanted to get married, the Key Largo immediatley popped onto their radar.

Emily discovered my work on Instagram. She loved my use of film. And really wanted someone who speialized in elopements. DING DING!

One of my greatest joys is assisting couples who dream of an intimate wedding in bringing that vision to life. I love helping them navigate the details and create a celebration that truly reflects their love story.

And here’s how it went…

We started the day with some light ‘getting ready’ coverage. Emily and Tim wanted to share the excitement of getting ready together, but they decided to hold off on seeing each other until that magical moment just before their ‘I Dos.’

So while Tim got his suit on in one room, Emily changed into her dress to surprise Tim by the beach.

Another special detail they wanted to include were their witnesses. Their witnesses just happened to be their adorable doggos!

Just moments before the sun started to dip for sunset Emily and Tim walked to their ceremony location hand-in-hand.

Florida Keys Wedding Tip: Always Plan around Sunset

We focused on timing to capture the best lighting and sunset, and the result was magical. The sunset at Dream Bay was breathtaking, with golden light casting a perfect glow over the scene, making their elopement truly unforgettable.

Never underestimate a cloudy sky!

Their coverage plan was brief but perfect for an intimate wedding day along the Bay! We were able to walk down along the water right as the sun was begining to set. With champagne in hand, I was able to capture some breathtaking moments for this dazzling couple.

The clouds provided the perfect color contrast this evening. Emily and Tim just looked as though they were walking along the edge of the earth. They were both absolutely breathtaking.

In the end we walked away from the ocean after sunset just to enjoy some cake by the sea! We couldn’t leave without Emily and Tim wanting to take their first hammock swing as Husband and Wife.

Congratulations love birds!
